Wahaj at the Hyatt Regency, Al Kout Mall

We dined at Wahaj and were mesmerized by the beautiful interiors. However, I’m all about the food so let me tell you what we had:

Lamb Biryani, Wahaj, Hyatt Regency, Al Kout Mall
Endives Bites, Wahaj, Hyatt Regency, Al Kout Mall
Corn & Avocado Salad, Wahaj, Hyatt Regency, Al Kout Mall

The Endives Bites (KD 2.75) was quite the looker and certainly made for beautiful photos, however the simple Corn & Avocado (KD 3.5) was what won me over with corn, avocado, spinach and orange for a little tangy twist.

Tandoori Lamb Chops, Wahaj, Hyatt Regency, Al Kout Mall
Chicken Shawarma, Wahaj, Hyatt Regency, Al Kout Mall
Adana Kebab, Wahaj, Hyatt Regency, Al Kout Mall

For mains, we dined on the Tandoori Lamb Chops (KD 7.95). These were so succulent and I was so tempted to pick that bone clean. Loved the whole bulb of garlic served on the side too. The other winning main dish for us was the Lamb Biryani (KD 6.5) with slow charcoal cooked lamb and fragrant rice. Yum! We also tried the Chicken Shawarma (KD 2.95) and the Adana Kebab (KD 5.5) which again had that beautiful bulb of garlic on the side.

Kunafa on Skewers, Wahaj, Hyatt Regency, Al Kout Mall
Chocolate Ecstasy, Wahaj, Hyatt Regency, Al Kout Mall
Pineapple Colada and Mandarin Iced Tea, Wahaj, Hyatt Regency, Al Kout Mall

Of course we had to have dessert and if you only choose one, make sure it is the Kunafa on Skewers (KD 5.5). It is your traditional Kunafa, made in a charcoal oven generously topped with pistachios and served with creamy vanilla ice cream and sugar syrup. That hot and cold combination is killer! And finally, to satisfy your inner chocoholic, the Chocolate Ecstasy (KD 3.25) is a treat for both the tastebuds and eyes!

Wahaj is located at the Hyatt Regency, Al Kout and should be your next culinary destination.
