Summer Colour Crush: Revlon Nail Enamel in 161 Teak Rose

Summer Colour Crush: Revlon Nail Enamel in 161 Teak Rose

Lately, I've been on the hunt for some bright and summery nail colours that are still work appropriate.  So when my eye fell on the Revlon nail polish in 161 Teak Rose, there was no way I was going home without it.

I've never tried Revlon polishes before and am sure glad I picked this up.  This shade is an absolute stunner!  A cheerful rosy pink that leans slightly orange on me and I can see this suiting anyone with olive to tanned skintones (I'm currently an NC43 for reference).

This polish delivers a gorgeous glossy creme finish, don't you just love creamy colours?  The formula is quite runny and it will take at least 2 coats to achieve full opacity.  The thin formula however lends to longer wear time which is great in my books (I'm on day 5 right now with just a little tip wear).  Though this isn't an advertised feature of this polish, it is extremely fast drying.  I put this on about 30 minutes before going to bed and expected to wake up with my duvet's markings all over my nails.  Imagine my surprise when I woke up to 10 perfect and still glossy nails!  My one and only gripe is that the brush could've been a little wider as it takes multiple swipes to cover the entire nail.

I tried to take the mandatory claw clutching bottle photo, but my stubby fingers and short nails just looked ridiculous so you'll have to settle for the below swatch photo.  A beautiful shade all the same and though I only bought this polish last week, I've already crowned it my go to summer shade.

This polish retails for just 2.75 KD (a bargain if you ask me!) in Kuwait and can be found in all leading cosmetic stores.

Have you tried Revlon nail polishes before?  What are your go to summer shades?

    1. I can't believe it too me this long to try out Revlon because this polish is awesome. Avon's another one I've never tried out. I don't actually know any sellers here in Kuwait. Would be good to check that out. Thanks!
