Sample Sunday: Institut Esthederm Osmoclean Lightening Buffing Mask

I love using face masks, they're a nice treat when you want to give your skin an extra oomph and felt that this was an easy risk free product to trial first from my little sample box, so without further ado, here's my first post in my Sample Sunday series!

Institut Esthederm is a French skincare brand and I was so excited to try this out as I akin the French to being effortlessly chic with minimal makeup, flawless skin and an air of confidence.  Also, like the French, Institut Esthederm believes that ageing is not inevitable and embrace instead of fighting it and accordingly, all their products are produced to maintain the skin at its optimal state as it evolves.  Isn't that beautiful?

Though technically a mask, this is meant to be applied on dry cleansed skin for just a few minutes, before being rubbed off.  Certainly a different approach, but I like to leave this on for a little longer just for my peace of mind.

The mask has a gentle floral scent and a thick creamy consistency.  There is no tingling effect on your skin and it wears quite pleasantly without drying to an uncomfortable hardness.  The idea is that it gently exfoliates your skin as you use circular motions to buff the mask off.  Any remaining mask can be rinsed off afterwards.

Because of the granule free formula, the exfoliation is quite gentle with none of that skin irritation or redness usually associated with an exfoliation session, while still giving you results.  Don't get intimidated by the use of the word lightening as they actually mean brightening and the mask promises visibly brighter more even toned and radiant skin.  I'm not sure about looking more bright and radiant (I sure hope I do!), but my skin is left feeling visibly softer and smoother with a clean matte feel which I love and look for in a mask.

I got this sample at Boots, however on popping into a Boots a few weeks ago, I was told that particular store didn't carry the brand, so I guess only select Boots will have it.  Will be updating the price here, but in the meantime, the 75ml size retails on feelunique.com for £27.70.  A wining product and I'll definitely be picking up the full size soon.

    1. Oh, thank you for the reminder to put this back onto my list too. I definitely need to repurchase this. It was really good and I went through a full sized version shortly after this review. Loved the effect it had on my skin!
