Batiste Dry Shampoo in Original

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Clean & Classic Original

Who said diamonds are a girl's best friend?  Mine is dry shampoo, or more specifically the Batiste Dry Shampoo!  However since Valentine's day is coming up, Husband, if you're reading this, I still love diamonds.  Just thought I should put that out there.

I have dry curly hair that turns oily at the roots by Day Two.  Day Three is torture, I absolutely hate myself if I haven't washed my hair by then and all I can think about is how many people are probably looking at my disgusting limp roots.  But every time I wash my hair, its a long process to get it looking somewhat normal, which is why I try to prolong that hair wash as much as possible.  All you girls out there who don't have to work at your hair?  I envy (read hate) you!

Dry shampoo has been around for years and is the perfect partner in crime for lazy girls.  Now, I am THE ultimate lazy girl and I can't believe it has taken me this long to buy a can!  I'm going as far as labeling this the next best thing since sliced bread.  I picked this up from Boots over the weekend and it was pretty much love at first spray.

Warning, DO NOT spray this at close range.  The can says to spray the dry shampoo from a distance of 30cm and rightly so.  I sprayed this onto my hand at close range for the below photo and managed to hurt myself.  Jeez, that spray is mighty strong!

There's no sticky residue or build up.  The powder is finely milled, therefore lightweight and has a mild fragrance that smells fresh and clean.  The white powder is visible on my dark hair, but what I did was spray this onto my roots the night before and then I proceeded to tie my hair up into a top knot.  The tossing and turning you do in you sleep really works the powder into your hair ensuring you wake up with perfectly clean looking hair (with extra body!).  Yes, my hair isn't clean, but it sure looks it and feels it too.  Heck, I probably could've stretched my hair onto Day Four if I really wanted to.  Alternatively, there is a dark brown version for dark haired beauties, but I loved the clean scent this one had.

The smaller 200ml can retails for 2.5 KD, while the bigger size is 3.5 KD and is available in all Boots stores in Kuwait.  This stuff makes me feel invincible and I'm kicking myself for not picking up a can sooner!

    3. Hi Sonia! Oh you should definitely try this out. If you have darker hair though, just remember to spray it through your roots at night. Or try out the variant for brown hair. Let me know how you get along with it.

  4. Hi Cece, I know, its so sad right? Soap & Glory makes a good dry shampoo. I tried it out the last time I couldn't get my hands on Batiste and its pretty good! Avoid the Boots own brand dry shampoo though. The sales assistant will try to force you to buy it and claim it is amazing (its not!)

COLAB is available in almost every supermarket. Have you heard/tried that one?

    1. I haven't tried Colab, but a lot of bloggers I follow in the UK/US do rave about it so I'm guessing it must be good! Let me know what you think if you do try it.
